Lauren German’s Personal Life
Family and Ethnicity
Lauren German was born in Huntington Beach, California on November 29, 1978. Her complete birth name is Lauren Christine German. Her father is a vascular surgeon of Dutch origins. Lauren’s paternal grandfather, James German, was a Dutch immigrant born in 1909 in Amsterdam. He migrated to the United States with his family when he was still a child.
As for the rest of Lauren’s ancestry, it is believed that it is primarily English on both maternal and paternal sides. Sadly, it is reported that her mother left their family when she was still young. Not much is known about the rest of her family, such as whether she has siblings or not.
She attended Los Alamitos High School, a public school in Los Alamitos for grades 9 to 12. She also entered the Orange County High School of the Arts, where she likely developed and honed her acting talent. Later on, she studied anthropology at the University of Southern California.
Lauren German seems to live a pretty quiet romantic life. As of now, she is reportedly loving the single life, focusing more on her career. Previously, she has been reported to be in a relationship with Barry Zito, a former professional baseball pitcher who is also a musician. There is no information available as to how long they have dated. Zito has been married since 2011.
From years 2009 to 2010, Lauren dated fellow American actor Ashton Holmes. Both of them appeared in the 2011 movie The Divide. The reason for their breakup is not known to the public.
After breaking up with Ashton Holmes, Lauren has not been linked to another person again. She’s probably taking her time looking for the perfect match and at the same time, focusing her attention and strengths to further building her acting career.
Rumors and Controversies
Rumors about Lauren German’s sexual orientation have circulated on the Internet. This may be because of the long silence in her romantic life. Rumors have also been fueled further by the fact that Lauren has played a lesbian role multiple times in the past.
Lauren has been asked about this rumor before. She said that she has played a few lesbian roles, and she also has lesbian and gay friends. She doesn’t think any of it to be different. Asking how she plays a lesbian character is almost the same as asking, how does one play a straight character. According to Lauren, as an actor, she just does whatever is needed for the characters she plays.
As of late, she has not confirmed nor denied the allegations that she is a lesbian.
Lauren German has a slim physique comparable to that of a model. She stands 5 ft. 6 inches tall and weighs around 54 to 55 kg. She has a pretty balanced figure, with known vital stats of 34-25-35.
