Are you a fan of the Rocky franchise? What if we say Apollo Creed? Today, we are having a detailed look into the very actor who played Apollo Creed in Rocky movies. Here is everything you need to know about Carl Weathers’ net worth, private life, spouses, children, movies and TV shows.
In the world of entertainment, particularly Hollywood that has international patronage and viewership, it is common for audiences to get attached and relate to specific characters. Because of this, actors who play memorable characters also gain a solid following.
This is particularly true for actors who star in film franchises. Not only do they gain steady work and income for years, but they also become household names.
However, although ideal, this phenomenon also has a negative effect. Fans who get too attached to a character have a hard time dissociating the actor from the character. As a result, when the actor performs in new films and shows, playing a different character, fans cannot seem to fully accept the fact that the actor is not the character, and they need to play other roles to grow their career, too.
Among the actors who went through this phenomenon is Carl Weathers. Because of his successful portrayal as Apollo Creed in the Rocky franchise, he didn’t gain as much recognition for his next roles as much as he did when he played Apollo. Many people may not even remember that he was also in Predator.
